Musa Aman Appointed as the New Tuan Yang Terutama of Sabah

In a significant development for Sabah, Musa Aman 73 has been officially appointed as the 11th Tuan Yang Terutama (TYT) or the Governor of Sabah. The appointment of the TYT is made by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Malaysia’s King, following the recommendation of the Prime Minister in consultation with the Chief Minister of Sabah. Musa Aman now assumes the role as the ceremonial head of state, succeeding the previous TYT, and will serve a term of four years.

Who is Musa Aman?

Tan Sri Musa Aman is no stranger to Sabah’s political landscape. Having served as the Chief Minister of Sabah from 2003 to 2018, he is recognized as one of the longest-serving Chief Ministers in the state’s history.
