Gelvia Vanessa Jenny Crowned Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan 2026
KOTA KINABALU, May 31 — The Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan 2026 Grand Finals concluded tonight at the Hongkod Koisaan KDCA Hall, Penampang, with Gelvia Vanessa Jenny representing Papar crowned as this year’s Unduk Ngadau Queen.
Competing against 53 contestants from across Sabah, Gelvia impressed the judges with her elegance, confidence, and deep appreciation of Kadazan-Dusun-Murut heritage, earning her the prestigious title.
The official Top 7 winners are:
1st Place — Gelvia Vanessa Jenny (Papar)
2nd Place — Juje Elor Francis (Tuaran)
3rd Place — Criszelbellkah Lorris (Matunggong)
4th Place — Liane Melve Grace Lias (Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu)
5th Place — Kerishine Danil (Pagalungan)
6th Place — Gadrette Gregory (Penampang)
7th Place — Myra Evana Robert (Sook)
This year’s Unduk Ngadau competition once again showcased the beauty, strength, and cultural pride of Sabah’s indigenous communities. Beyond a pageant, Unduk Ngadau remains a meaningful cultural symbol rooted in the legend of Huminodun, representing sacrifice, grace, and unity.
As the newly crowned Unduk Ngadau 2026, Gelvia Vanessa Jenny will serve as a cultural ambassador for Sabah, representing the spirit of Kaamatan throughout the coming year.
