The Penampang Tourism Association, in collaboration with the Sabah Birdwatchers Association (SBWA), invites all nature enthusiasts to participate in an exciting Members Bird Survey this year-end. The event is set to take place from 26th to 28th December 2024, offering participants a chance to explore the serene Sugud area in Penampang and contribute to important birdwatching data.

Jason is a renowned bird guide and photographer based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Specializing in birds, sports, and digiscoping, he offers bird photography tours across Sabah. As an ambassador for Swarovski Optik, Austria, Jason has contributed to various birding platforms and maintains an active presence on social media, sharing his birding experiences and photographs.
Mr. Alim Biun
Mr. Alim Biun is a respected ornithologist and former Research Officer at Sabah Parks. With a career dedicated to studying Borneo’s avian species, he has conducted significant research on the altitudinal distribution of birds on Mount Kinabalu. Alim’s work has been instrumental in understanding and conserving Sabah’s rich bird biodiversity.
